Arsen Virobyan DPT

Dr. Arsen Virobyan grew up in Brooklyn, New York where he was an athlete from a young age playing basketball and volleyball. He developed an interest in physical therapy when his brother injured his knee playing soccer and had to have surgery. Dr. Virobyan saw how important the role of physical therapy was in his brother’s recovery and return to sport, which led him to his career path. Dr. Virobyan graduated from Hunter College in New York City with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and worked as a Physical Therapy Aide for three years prior to beginning graduate school. Dr. Virobyan received his Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Touro College, School of Health Sciences, in 2016.

Dr. Virobyan has a passion for orthopedic and sports rehab. These areas of interest led him to acquire certifications in the Selective Functional Movement Assessment and Running Gait Analysis. Prior to moving to California, Dr, Virobyan was the clinical director of a New York City running-specialist clinic treating professional track athletes, marathon qualifiers, and recreational runners. He believes that athletes of all levels can recover from overuse injuries, improve their performance, and reduce risk of re-injury with a comprehensive assessment and client-driven treatment programs.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Virobyan enjoys spending time with his wife and exploring the Bay Area. They enjoy hiking, cruising winding scenic roads, and finding great sushi spots.

Gary Kang

Gary Kang is a driven practitioner who has a passion for helping people positively change their lives through improved movement. Gary graduated from Gurnick Academy of Medical Art in 2015, with distinction. Since entering the Physical Therapy field, Gary’s understanding of human movement has continued to evolve, and he takes great pride in seeing his patients meet their goals. He utilizes principles from a number of renowned movement schools of thought including Movement Links, Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, and Institute of Physical Art.

Gary’s objective with each patient is to assess the integration and dynamic interaction of each structure (muscles, joints, ligament, fascia) instead of looking at the body as separate structures. By effectively implementing this approach, Gary is able to understand and communicate why a person is in pain or why certain performance goals are not being met.

When he is not in the office, Gary enjoys spending time with friends and family, wine tasting, practicing Tai Chi and Chi gong, traveling, and exploring new restaurants in the Bay Area.
