Who We Are
Precision Physical Therapy & Fitness brings something better to physical therapy, hand therapy, massage therapy, exercise classes, sports performance training and personal training in Santa Cruz—precise, individualized care that works.
Whether you are experiencing a sports injury, back pain, post-surgical pain or are looking for something more from a customized wellness program, our expert staff will work with you to reach your goals. We don’t just help your problem or critique your form, we change the way you think and feel about movement.
Our staff works with you, one-on-one, to help ease your pain, wherever it is, to increase your strength and improve your mobility—always addressing the issue at its source.
If you’ve tried therapy, classes, or training that resulted in pain or produced minimal results, you know that not all movement is created equal. Precision’s philosophy is based on natural human development and the most advanced scientific research on efficient body motion available.

What We Do
Find Power in Wellness
Dr. James Vegher, DPT, DNSCP and Dr. Chris Christensen, DPT, CSCS, DNSET founded Precision Physical Therapy & Fitness after spending years in traditional rehabilitation facilities. James and Chris struggled to reconcile methods they found to significantly improve the speed and longevity of recovery with traditional, short term physical therapy techniques. By evaluating each client's needs and unique body, Precision's co-owners were able to achieve a high rate of success. They partnered to create an education based environment for both therapists and clients to thrive. Once Precision was established as a uniquely effective rehabilitation staple in the Santa Cruz community, James and Chris went on to create fitness classes that help solidify the movement principles that keep Precision's clients moving well, without pain, for life.
