Christy received her Bachelor’s degree in Sports Medicine from University of the Pacific in 1992. She immediately began working in the field of physical therapy as an aide in an outpatient orthopedic clinic as well as both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings. She moved to Santa Cruz County in 1995 and has enjoyed working specifically in outpatient orthopedics since then. She passed her state board examination to become a licensed physical therapy assistant in 1996. In 1999 she earned a personal trainer certification through the American Council on Exercise. She has volunteered both as a mentor and a running coach for Team in Training to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Christy currently lives in Aptos with her husband and two children. She enjoys running, practicing yoga and spending time at the beach with her family.
