Dr. Gina Horath grew up in Aptos, and after many years away preparing for and completing her graduate school education, she is happy to be back in Santa Cruz serving her community. Dr. Horath went to the University of California, San Diego where she studied Human Development and Biology. She has a background in cross-country and track running, and while in college, she developed a passion for triathlon. While focusing on her biology and human development coursework, she juggled full time training and racing for the UCSD triathlon team. In her final year at UCSD, Dr. Horath finished 5th in the country at the collegiate national championships. This accomplishment allowed her to obtain her elite license and achieve professional status.

After becoming a professional Triathalon racer, Dr. Horath sustained an injury that ultimately lead to foot surgery. As a Precision patient, she valued the guidance she received while transitioning back to competitive training. Since that experience, she has worked diligently for the opportunity to provide the same quality of care as a Doctor of Physical Therapy at Precision.

Dr. Horath graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from California State University, Fresno. She enjoys working with patients of all ages and backgrounds, and enjoys helping them to achieve their goals. She understands the rehabilitation process and the challenges it presents, and knows that having an awesome support team can make all the difference. Dr. Horath loves spending her free time traveling, backpacking, cycling, running or swimming.
