Dr. Casey Feickert was exposed to physical therapy from a young age. As a lifelong athlete he sustained his share of strains, sprains and broken bones that landed him on the patient side of the clinical experience. Passionate about baseball, Dr. Feickert was thrilled to play with Antelope Valley College for 1 year before being drafted by the Kansas City Royals in 2007. Dr. Feickert’s professional baseball career was short-lived when he injured his shoulder at the end of his first season. He played one season post-injury but was unable to return to his pre-injury form and was released by the Royals in 2009.
In 2010 Dr. Feickert started his second year of college at Cal State Long Beach where he graduated in 2013 with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology with an emphasis in Exercise Science. He took one year off after graduating to work as an aide and make sure physical therapy really was what he wanted to do, and after a year in the field, he returned to Cal State Long Beach and completed his DPT in 2017.
After 8 years in Long Beach Dr. Feickert and his wife moved to Santa Cruz where she is a 3rd grade teacher at San Lorenzo Valley Elementary school. When he’s not in the office Dr. Feickert enjoys playing basketball, hiking, backpacking, reading fantasy novels, and fishing with his wife and dog.
